Sometimes, you need to just look at a picture or a single element to ignite a creative spark. It can be something colossal or insignificant, yet when such an element find its way to you, you always feel thankful to get some inspiration.

The element that sparked this actually saw its origin some months ago, with a single comic strip by :iconkaztle:, namely this one incredibleintruder.deviantart.… . The idea that a genie lamp could be sentient and would capture women seemed like too good an idea, making me rather jealous in fact. It was the kind of idea that made me say ''Now why didn't I think of that!''. Really liking the character, I wanted to see more of her, yet knew not whether I could try my luck with its creator, :iconkaztle:.

Luckily for me, I sent an idea for a cool pic with her (the one that serves as a really awesome introduction image right here), which he accepted and ended up doing some weeks after the idea was sent. Seeing the finished product, I was sent into a writing frenzy, the kind that demands, no, needs to be put down on paper or on word. Asking if I could use the character and the image, he accepted, which sent me joyfully into writing overdrive. I had a lot of fun writing this one, I can assure you.

So, major kudos to Kaztle for his free, yet unreliable service. If you want to see the full image and shower him in the ''you so awesome'' kind of way, then please do so by clicking here: kaztle.deviantart.com/art/2014…

Comments, as always, are more than welcome.

Kaztle First of all, good sir (in the event that that you see this message), I'd like to thank you for not only creating the comic that set the pace for the story that would come to be. Your concept (even if it is just a one-time thing), is an interesting one and it does have a lot of potential for many stories to be told within this universe. Which brings me to...

IncredibleIntruder  The first half of this story has a good setup. You've established a rather... eclectic group of characters and why some of them do what they do as a group as well as show what the members of the mithril company are like as individuals, somewhat (at least when it comes to 2 of the 4 members, namely Aliss and Breghni, anyway.

Part of me wishes that we could learn more about the other two, Valina and Malachai. Don't get me wrong. What you wrote was good, but it does get me wondering: What was their first mission like? Did these 4 know of each other beforehand? Were they always willing to work with one another or was that something that had to be built overtime? What were the lives of these 4 like before they became a mercenary group?

With how things are now, I'm guessing that it's a situation where all of these questions will be left unanswered
